I would like to share this advice from our father, David Solomon Allen. I thank GOD above for gifting us our wise old daddy. He taught us kids to ALWAYS “dig our roots REAL deep.” He said, "Baby girl, those trees that easily get their water, have VERY weak roots right up close near the surface ya see. But those REALLY really STRONG trees, the ones that have to struggle to survive life's trials, tribulations and LONG droughts, they gotta grow their roots WAY down deep into the ground in search of unbreakable stability. Honey, avoid the easy answers. Take the road less traveled. Work hard. Be strong. BE that tree!" So in life’s CHALLENGING times, when the wind blows hard, though my tree may surely sway, it will NEVER fall over. We love you daddy! Thanks to you, our roots will FOREVER run deep! May you remember every lost memory (including us), find healing and comfort in the arms of Jesus, sing loud your hymns with the angels, dance the jitterbug with God and hug, kiss and love on my babies until I can. You were THE best daddy God could EVER have picked for us. I love you!
