Barbara Sanfilippo Hyatt, a wonderful woman who lived a long life of love and service passed away on July 6, 2024 in Woodstock, Georgia. She was born on September 27, 1947 in Niagara Falls, New York to William and Myrtle Hull Betts.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph (Pete) Hyatt; her son, Aaron Booterbaugh and grandson, Sam Booterbaugh, whom she doted on. She is also survived by her brother William (Bill) Betts and her sweet Maltipoo puppy, Miss Daisy. She was preceded in death by her son, Travis Booterbaugh and her second husband Dennis Sanfilippo.
She treasured her time in Oklahoma on her grandparents’ farm and remained a passionate Oklahoma Sooners fan for life. She lived in California for many years where her sons, Aaron and Travis were born.
In 1979, just prior to moving to Georgia, Barbara’s life took on a new meaning. Having embarked on a path of spiritual progress, Barbara grew a fellowship of men and women around her - giving freely to all. With an open heart and an open house, many were helped.
Like a ripple in a pond, her legacy of love and service to others extends to countless people around the world who may never have even met her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to https://angelhousega.com/.
