Carla Pietrack

Carla Pietrack, 61, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, April 19 at Northside Hospital. Her three children, JoAnna, Michael, and Robert were with her at the time of her passing. She is also survived by three granddaughters, with a fourth one due any day. Her grandchildren affectionately called her "LaLa." Carla was born in Bridgeport, CT on September 18, 1955, the first born of seven children to Charles and Helen Sodoski. In her early adulthood, she moved to Florida where she fell in love with the ocean. Her favorite days were spent on the beach or out on the water. Throughout her life, she also lived in Nevada, Colorado, and then Georgia. Carla will be remembered for her big smile and boisterous laugh; her independent and adventurous spirit. The clich� of "Mom's Cooking" was so true in her case. She loved to cook and poured her love into it each meal she made. Even the mention of her famous dishes will continue to spark nostalgia for many years to come. Carla also loved animals, especially horses and dogs. In fact, she even cooked for her dogs! Whether it was holidays, vacations, or meals, Carla liked to do it big. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, as she leaves us with many fond memories. We will always love you LaLa!
