Carolyn Newberry

Mrs. Carolyn Amy Newberry passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 while on vacation. She was 65 years old. Visitation will be held at 4:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Poole Funeral Home in Woodstock. Burial services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Sonny Sellers officiating. Flowers will be accepted. Mrs. Newberry was born August 31, 1952 in Warner Robins, Georgia to the late Lewis Gannas and Peggy Ann Cooley. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and her greatest asset was giving to others. She never had anything negative to say about anyone and had a love for shopping and jewelry. Carolyn is now with her Lord and Savior and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Newberry is survived by her husband of 20 years, Richard Newberry, Woodstock, GA; two daughters, Stephanie Paul (Kenneth) of Batesville, AR; Carolyn Griffie (Terry) of Temple, GA; two sons, Wesley Garrett of Carrolton, GA; Richard Newberry, Jr (Maria) of Douglasville, GA; sister, Susan Gannas of Warner Robbins, GA; brother Sonny Gannas of Warner Robbins, GA; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
