After a long struggle with cancer, Cathy Lynne Worthy, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2018. Born in New York City, but raised in Miami, FL and then Atlanta, GA, she made her home in the Woodstock area on Lake Allatoona. She loved the water and spent many hours enjoying the lake life. Cathy was a Georgia Bulldog and graduated the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism. She enjoyed a very successful career with Coca-Cola as the Director of Communications and retired, only to continue working as a free-lance writer for Graphic Packaging and Newell Brand. Her greatest joy was her family. She and husband, James, created a home that became the center of family life. She adored her granddaughters and spent many happy and playful hours with her girls. She supported the interests of her children and grandchildren and worked tirelessly to help them follow their paths and their dreams. She is survived by her husband, James Vincent; her children, George Dalrymple and Sara Linville; her stepson, Koah Vincent, her granddaughters, Emily, Aurora, Jessie and Fernando; her mother, Marion Worthy; and her sisters, Jan Phillips and Caroline Powell; her in-laws, Doug and Shirley Vincent, Deborah Cross, Vickie Lindstrom and Van Vincent. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on May 20, 2018 at 3 p.m., Poole Funeral Home, 1970 Eagle Drive, Woodstock, Georgia 30189.
