Deloris Irene Carr

Deloris “Dee” Irene Carr of Canton, GA went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.  Dee was born May 25, 1943 near Melrose, OH to Wilbur Floyd Porter and Lois Irene (Copsey) Porter. She married Clyde Heffner and raised two sons and worked as a department manager and buyer for Ace Hardware.  Later in her life she married Marvin Carr and added two more sons to her extended family.  She retired from a career with a Georgia law firm as a legal secretary. She surrounded herself with pictures of her family. Dee enjoyed sharing in their lives around the world with pictures, letters and phone calls. Dee was also blessed with a loving church family and so many dear friends and caring neighbors.

She is survived by her son Wayne (Jacqueline) Heffner and daughter-in-law Rebecca Heffner and  stepsons Mike (Jill) Carr and Mark Carr. Also surviving are grandchildren; Kenneth (Erin) Heffner, Douglas (Rachael) Heffner, Lauraleigh (Alex) Lakocy, October Heffner, Adam Heffner, Sarah (John) Opris, Jessi Carr, Trevor Carr, Matthew Carr an Ryan Carr. She also is survived by a great granddaughter, Eleanor Lakocy. Also surviving is her sister Barbara (Porter) Weaver.  Preceding her in death are husband Marvin Carr, parents Wilbur and Lois Porter, brother Floyd Porter, and son Ronald Heffner. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, in Woodstock, GA on Sunday, February 6^th at 3pm.
