Dolawese Edison

Dolawese Cleland Edison, age 85, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024. Born in Screven County, Georgia, to Clyde and Louise Cleland, Dolawese was one of ten siblings. She was the devoted wife of the late Ronald Edison, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

 She is survived by her sons, Ken Edison (Alise) and Jeff Edison (Georgia); seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, with another on the way. A proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she served as Worthy Matron and dedicated her life to serving others.

 Dolawese worked at the phone company and in real estate, but her true fulfillment was in caring for others. Known for her warm hospitality, she found joy in caregiving and helping family members achieve their full potential. She was an amazing cook, homemaker, and decorator, bringing beauty and love into every space.

 A memorial service will be held at Red Bluff Baptist Church on October 12th, 2024. Later this year will be a private interment at the Veterans Memorial burial ground in Titusville, FL, alongside her late husband.
