Edward Drew Vinson, 69 years of age of Woodstock, GA passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2018 after a brief illness. Drew is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Wanda Cox Vinson; his sons, William Jonas Vinson (DeDe); William Shane Addison (Susan); sister, Randa Graves (Jack); grandsons, Mitchell Keith Addison, Kadeyn Vinson, Hunter Hinton, Brody Hinton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, David Ed and Agnes Willingham Vinson and son Walker Edward Smith. Mr. Vinson grew up in Valley, Alabama and attended Auburn University. He was in automotive sales throughout his career. He was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church where he particularly enjoyed his Men's Bible Study and his involvement in the Emmaus Community. Mr. Vinson loved sports including golf and Auburn football and was an avid baseball fan. He was especially proud to sit on the sidelines and watch his grandson, Mitchell play baseball. He will be sorely missed by his wife and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the St. Andrew United Methodist Men or to the American Cancer Society. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday March 9, 2018 with Revs. Mack Riley and Terry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Woodstock directing. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church on Friday, March 9, 2018.
