Eileen Barnard

Eileen Elizabeth Barnard (94) of Naples, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. The oldest of four children, she was born 1923 in Brocton, Massachusetts. After marriage she subsequently moved to North Greenbush, NY where she owned her own real estate company. She was preceded in death by her best friend and loving husband of 70 years, Herbert Theodore Barnard (Ted). After retirement, they spent many wonderful years in Naples, Florida walking the beach and living the good life! A beloved sister, mother, mother-in law, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her "little sista" Alice Perkins; daughter Susan Barnard; son and daughter in law Herbert and Pamela Barnard; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Dominick Corvino; grandchildren, James (Stacy), Jeffrey (Laura), Jesse, Lindsay (Brendan), Christopher (Tahnie) and Stephanie; great-grandchildren Caitlin, Braden, Norah, Reid, Connor, and baby Lisa. The family would like to express our thanks to our much loved caregivers Kathy, Linda, Ruth, and Pat as well as the wonderful support provided by North Star Hospice. A private family "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date but we ask that you share your memories on the website for Poole Funeral Home in Woodstock, Ga. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contributions be made to your favorite charity. All who treasured her will never forget her sense of humor, feisty spirit, love of Lawrence Welk, and affinity for napkins! Happy trails, Nan!
