Elizabeth May

Ms. Elizabeth Ann May, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 85. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Poole Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Elizabeth was born October 1, 1933 in Independence, LA to the late Anthony and Lena Musso Laplaca. She was retired from the Contra Costa County School system where she worked as a teacher's assistant. Elizabeth enjoyed the beauty of the natural world around her very much, and was a member of the Sierra Club. She is survived by her daughter, Monique Hix and husband Timothy; sister, Theresa Schlater; brother, Frank Laplaca; grandchildren, Heather, Lance, David and Michael Hix; and great granddaughter Lydia Hix.
