Ethel Louise Middlebrook

Mrs. Ethel Louise Middlebrook, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.� She was 97. � Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. central time Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Forest Park Cemetery East in Shreveport, Louisiana with Poole Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to We Foster Program at First Baptist Church Woodstock, 11905 Highway 92 Woodstock, GA 30188.� � Mrs. Middlebrook was born April 16, 1922 in Kerlin, Arkansas to the late Lucius and Agnes Smith Owen.� Mrs. Middlebrook was a bookkeeper for several years for Highland Clinic, Shreveport, LA.� Mrs. Middlebrook was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock.� � Mrs. Middlebrook was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Edgar Middlebrook in 1970, her son, Robert Flanagan in 1967, a sister, Evelyn Owen Hassell, in 2015 and a grandson John Chittam in 1988.� � Survivors include two daughters, JoAnne Middlebrook Chittam (Jim), Acworth, GA., Margaret Middlebrook Campbell (Michael), Greenwood, IN; 7 grandchildren, Jim Chittam (Shelley), Laura Chittam Thomas (Lee), Zach Chittam (Lori), Michelle Stomps (Richard), Mark Campbell (Jen), Kellye Flanagan Raines, and Kimberlee Flanagan Cochran; a special cousin Bennie Baker- Bourgeois, of Louisiana;� Her legacy was one of love for God, her family, her country.� She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. � Online condolences may be made at www.poolefuneralhome.net
