Mr. Tim Webb, 87, of Dawsonville, Georgia,passed away in his home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, January 26, 2017, following a 22-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Miller Webb; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Bill Gable, Lawrenceville, GA, Dana and Tommy Marshall, Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Nancy and Rick Morris, Johns Creek, GA, Grandchildren - Stacy Marshall Stanford, Danny Marshall and Whitney Morris. He was also blessed with five great grandchildren - Kinsley and Carter Stanford and Maggie Rose, Holley Louise and Thomas Marshall. Born September 20, 1929, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of Paul T. Webb and Mary Chauncey Webb. His mother passed away in 1931 and Tim was then adopted by his grandparents, the Reverend and Mrs. Roy O. Webb (whom he called Papa and Mama), of Rutherfordton, NC. He finished high school in 1946 in Union, SC and entered Clemson University on September 9, 1946, as a 16 year old. After his junior year, he transferred to Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, where he met and dated Margaret Louise Miller. They were married on December 14, 1951. Tim started his career in sales with General Foods in 1952. He moved to Top Value Enterprises in 1956 where he worked until his retirement in 1984. He continued working for Top Value as a consultant until 1987. During his 31 years, he received numerous awards and promotions. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M.on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 100 Lumpkin Campground Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534. There will be a reception for friends and family immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation atwww.themmrf.org
