Mr. James M. Cason, 77, of Woodstock, GA. died on June 30, 2019 at the Northside Cherokee Hospital, Canton, GA. �He was born in Wilcox County, GA ( near Seville), the 3rd child of James W. and Cleo Smith-Cason. He joined the United States Army. While stationed in Germany he married Christel R. Duemmig in Wertheim, Germany. After active duty he worked as a diesel mechanic for Ryder Truck Rental in Atlanta, GA. Attended Falls College and received a degree in computer programming.� He was a successful Home Builder in Cherokee and Bartow County from 1986-2003. In his retirement years he lived out his lifelong dream of traveling the USA and visited his in laws in Germany � He leaves behind his wife Christel of 60 years, son Karl, wife Lin Cason, grandchildren Matthew, Elizabeth and Stephen Cason of Woodstock, GA., daughter Vivian, husband Mike Marks, Jasper, GA., grandchildren Jessica, husband Jacob Namynanik, Morgan, husband Chad Patterson, daughter Patricia Cason, grandson Garrett Ward of Jacksonville, FL Great grandchildren, Callee and Michael Namynanik, Ryan Patterson. Siblings, Mary Cason, Clements, Frank Cason, Judy Cason, Francis Cason, Wright Brother in law, Joerg Duemming-Zitzmann, wife Dr. Jutta Finkenauer, �niece Laura, husband Axel Droester Zitzmann, nephew, Luis Zitzmann. aunt Modena Smith-Calhoun. He also leaves many loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews behind. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the military never left him, as friends and family will attest. His devotion as husband, father, and leader permeated his life and all he loved.
