Jeff Scarborough, beloved husband, father, son, and friend sadly passed away May 23rd, 2017. He was doing what he enjoyed most, traveling with his soulmate, Karen, family, and friends fishing and enjoying life. Although he was born in Garland, Texas and lived in many different places, he considered Chicago his hometown. He found his way to Pittsburgh and ultimately Atlanta with AT&T. His love for the Bears, Cubbies, Blackhawks or Chicago Italian Beef sandwiches never faltered. Through his various roles over 25 years in sales and service, he loved the people interaction most. His most recent foray into being "his own boss" brought him to Lyft. His outgoing personality and sincere interest for all people he transported, made him truly happy. That love of life also played out in sports. Building on his agilities from a young age in gymnastics, hockey and other sports, he loved not only to play, but to teach others and shared his passions often. He coached many students in the Cobb County School District and was known as a father figure to many. His sudden and much too early departure is difficult to bear, but his life leaves all better for having known him. He is survived by his wife Karen, their two children James and Chelsea, his parents Grover and Annette, brother Jason, nephews Patrick, Teddy, nieces Shayna, Amber, and his in-law families, the Petersons, Kisellas and McCormicks. The celebration of Jeff's life will be held at Poole Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA on May 31, 2017. Visitation will be at 3:00 p.m. followed immediately by a ceremony in the Poole Funeral Chapel. A reception for friends and family will follow the memorial service. Specific details regarding the reception will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in his name to any one of the following foundations.
