Julia Long

Mrs. Julia Anne Squires Long, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away peacefully at her residence following an extended illness. She was 86. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ann Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Poole Funeral Home. Mrs. Long was born March 29, 1932 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Worth and Mary Lane Squires, Sr. Mrs. Long was an LPN and worked several years at Woodstock Nursing Home in Woodstock. Mrs. Long was a member of Woodstock United Methodist Church and was involved in the Women's Group of Woodstock United Methodist Church. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her parents, also a brother, Worth Squires, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joseph C. Long, Woodstock, GA; one son, James William Long, Panama City Beach, FL; one daughter, JoAnne Long Polansky (Michael), Woodstock, GA; one granddaughter, Meredith Haley Roderick (Joseph); one great granddaughter, Julianna Marie Roderick; three nieces, Elizabeth Hess, Becky Bryant, Michelle McGee; Online condolences may be made at www.poolefuneralhome.net
