Kathryn Margaret Hughes

Kathryn " Kathy" Hughes, 57, of Woodstock, GA passed away on Sunday December 29, 2019 peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born in Fridley MN in February 1962 and stayed there until early adulthood. After a short time in NC she moved to Georgia where she has lived ever since. She worked in numerous fields including Aviation, Education, and Retail Sales, but she is best known for being at home and being a loving mother to Austin Hughes (25) and Olivia Hughes (22) and a loving wife of 29 years to Kevin Hughes. She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Tim Byrne, Kevin Byrne, and David Byrne. Besides Kevin, Austin, and Olivia she is survived by her parents Bob and Helen Byrne of East Bethel, MN, Mother-in-law Maxine Hughes of Boone, NC, and numerous extended family members. Kathy will be remembered by many for her tenacious appetite for life, optimistic personality, caring heart, and endless desire to fight the disease that eventually took her life. She had a special place in her heart for children. She was always happy when she could spend time with kids.
