Lawrence Antiona William Brady was born May 21, 1966 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence Brady and Phyllis Roberson Brady. He professed Christ at an early age and became actively involved in the ministries of Bethel AME Church and Bibleway COGIC, both located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. As a young man, Lawrence lived in Oxford, Mississippi and attended school there. He played basketball, ran track, and taught Sunday School. Lawrence graduated from Carlisle High School in 1985 and served in the U. S. Army for three years. He was subsequently Honorably Discharged and began working at the Carlisle Barracks in the Department of Public Works. Shortly after this, Lawrence started his family and moved to Georgia. Lawrence was affectionately known as "Brady," "Lawrencey," and "Larry." To him, it did not matter, as Lawrence was full of life and a lover of all people. Lawrence always loved helping people, and dedicated his personal time often to feeding the homeless. He also volunteered at various food banks and homeless shelters. Lawrence always wanted to make sure that everyone felt loved. He had a heart of gold and was a great and loving man, a pure angel. Lawrence could light up a room when he entered. His spirit was so calm and gentle making it easy for people to gravitate to him. Lawrence loved to go deep-sea fishing with his buddies. He loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Lawrence enjoyed working out, both in the gym.and at the dinner table. Lawrence attended Emerson Unitarian Universalist Congregation and sang in the choir. Lawrence was the sole-proprietor of Brady's Moving Service and was employed at Thomas Concrete where he was recently promoted to Regional Manager. He was a hard worker and took pride in all he put his hands to do. Lawrence will be greatly missed and is survived by his three children; Chelsea Lauren Brady, Kyle Lawrence Brady, and Madison Michelle Brady, all of Woodstock, Georgia, his mother Phyllis Carothers-Brady of Oxford, Mississippi, step-father Willie Carothers (Frances), of Taylor, Mississippi, his siblings, Stephanie Brady of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Scott Brady (Christy) of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Daryl Brady of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Bridgette Harmon (William) of Oxford, Mississippi, his aunt Wanda Hunter of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, his aunt Flora Ann Collins (Robert) of Atlanta, Georgia, his special friend/partner, Ann Mason of Woodstock, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more friends than we could ever name who loved, encouraged, and lifted him up. Rest in Peace, Lawrence. You've finished your marathon!
