LeRoy Joseph "Lee" Herman

Mr. LeRoy J. “Lee” Herman, age 85, of Woodstock, passed away December 16, 2024. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from IBM with 30 plus years of service. Mr. Herman was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, especially watching their soccer and basketball games, traveling the United States, camping and boating at Lake Allatoona. He was especially happy visiting with his grandchildren, Max, Mary and Savannah, too. . 

Preceded in death by a son, Joseph John Herman; brothers Ronald Herman, Gerald Herman and sister Shirley Gorecki. 

Survived by his wife of 59 years, Susan H. Herman; daughter, Elizabeth A. Herman Stana; brother, Joe Herman and his wife, Kay Herman; brothers William Herman and wife Sharon; daughter-in-law, Denise Herman; grandchildren, Max Joseph Parker Herman, Mary Helen Herman, Savannah C. Stana; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Salyer officiating. Interment, with the U.S. Navy providing honors, will be at 2:30 PM Friday, January 3 at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 4 until 8 PM Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Poole Funeral Home, 1970 Eagle Drive, Woodstock, GA 30189.
