Ludwig “Michael” Fischer, 70, of Woodstock, passed away Sunday, November 28th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was a faithful and adoring husband, a passionate father, and a generous friend. He was a remarkable man loved by many with a boundless impact on countless lives. Michael served our country in the Army for 13 years, where he met his devoted wife, Diane, and enjoyed their 40 years of love together. Michael loved animals of all kinds, trips to the gun range with his son, and visits to the beach. He was a man of simple pleasures but took no greater joy than seeing his loved ones happy, no matter the cost. A family man by definition, he dedicated his life to the provision and contentment of his wife and children. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Clare A. Fischer, and his father, Ludwig L. Fischer. His memory is survived by his wife, Diane Fischer; son, Michael L. Fischer; daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Jacob Trout; mother-in-law, Anne Ianni; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
Words simply cannot encapsulate the exceptional, unforgettable man that Michael was, nor the influence he had in his lifetime. He will be sorely and grievously missed, but never forgotten.
