Margaret Byrne

Margaret "Peggy" Ann Byrne (Tierney), born in Bronx, New York on July 4th, 1930 and resided in Woodstock, GA. She died July 30, 2017 in Northside Cherokee Hospital, Canton, GA. Mrs. Byrne was 87 years old. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Margaret graduated from St. Barnabus HS, Bronx, NY in 1948. She attended Mt. Saint Vincent College in White Plains, NY. Margaret was the Chief Buyer in Women's Clothing Retail for B. Altman Department Store in New York City. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, GA with Father Fred Wendel officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Woodstock directing. A Rosary service will be held from 6:30 p.m. at Poole Funeral Home on August 3, 2017. Mrs. Byrne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Nestor Tierney. Mrs. Byrne's husband Terence Byrne preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by one brother Kevin Tierney from NYC and (6) children Terence, Lawrence, Pegeen, Christine, Brendan and Gerard and 20 Grandchildren.
