Martha J. Wenz, born January 17, 1928 in Monticello, Indiana passed away peacefully at her care home in Woodstock, Ga on December 6, 2024.
The family would like to thank Life Balance Personal Care Home for the care they provided in the final years of her life. The facility is owned by Melanie Felton and her main care takers were Seandel “Del” Warren and Linda Jones.
She is survived by her son Dennis Wenz Sr; daughter and husband, Jennifer and David Harrison; grandson and wife, Dennis Jr and Wendy Wenz; grandson and wife, Nicholas and Cheryl Wenz; great grandson Dennis “Trip” Wenz III; great granddaughter Autumn Wenz; great granddaughter Melody Wenz, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years Kenneth Wenz Sr.; their son Kenneth Wenz Jr.; their son Bennett Wenz; her parents John and Gladys Anderson and 11 siblings.
Martha was a woman of faith, love, family and friendship. She became a member, and was involved in the community of, a Presbyterian church in each of the 3 states that she lived in; Indiana, Georgia and Florida. She cared very deeply about family, her Wenz family and the Anderson Clan. She looked forward to the Anderson family reunion each summer in Indiana and being part of the Anderson choir on the Sunday of the reunion. She was known for not forgetting a family member’s birthday and sending a handwritten card with a happy birthday balloon every year. She built very close, long lasting friendships, through the community and her love of golf. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church in Monticello, Indiana. The family will receive friends and family the hours of 10:00-11:30 at the church, followed by a church service at 12:00 and a graveside service at Riverview Cemetery.
