Mary Joan (Prose) Rogers died on March 17, 2018, with her immediate family by her side in Marietta, GA. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Woodstock. Burial will follow alongside her husband, George Rogers, at 12:00 Noon Friday March 23, 2018 at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia. Mary enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking, camping, painting landscapes, reading, and playing the guitar. She was born on April 25, 1928, in New Lebanon, IN, to Charles and Grace Prose, and spent most of her 61year marriage in the countryside outside of Terre Haute, IN. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Rogers) Heiler of Dade City, FL, son, David Rogers and his wife, Mary, of Marietta, GA, four grandchildren and spouses, and one great-grand child, Jude Whimpey, who was the apple of her eye. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Joe Rogers of Pompano Beach, FL, and sisters-in-law, Betty Trowbridge of South Bend, IN, Lois Rogers of Sullivan, IN, and MaryDean Foreman of Greenville, IN.
