Michael Lee Baldwin was born on Sept 2, 1960 in Hinsdale, Illinois to parents Bill and Loraine Baldwin. He was the youngest of four children including Gary Baldwin, Jan Baldwin Johnson, and Mark Baldwin. Mike moved with his family to Brooks, Georgia in 1980. Mike attended several colleges in the state before landing at the University of Georgia where he earned a BS in Geography (and several billiards trophies), and where he met his wife Becky. Immediately out of college Mike attained his first professional job with Lowe Engineers where he worked until 2010. His first job with Lowe was as a draftsman, making maps by hand. Advancements in technology lead the industry into computerized mapping, at which time Mike became a Photogrammetrist and eventually received his certificate in Photogrammetry (CP). After leaving Lowe, Mike worked as an independent contractor for Photo Science and Quantum Spatial. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Disabled Veterans: www.dav.org Mike married Becky in 1986 and in 1992 they had a daughter, Michelle. They moved to Canton, Georgia in 1996. Mike's loves were his family first (and yes, dogs are family), his friends, his cars, his bird feeders, his country, and his political freedoms. Mike was a doting father and a loving husband, uncle, brother and son. He was a provider, a protector, and a man of character and honor. He was also a spiritual man, but on his own terms. He will be missed by so very many.
