Oliver Ryder Ibarra was born August 27, 2020 via emergency c-section at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta and that boy was a fighter from day one. He was affectionately called Ollie by the amazing nurses and doctors who helped throughout his NICU journey and little man by his parents. He was almost 16 months old and passed at Northside Cherokee on December 15, 2021. He was able to live at home with dad and mom, Jacob and Mary Catherine Ibarra for 7 months.
He is survived by his parents Jacob and Mary, Grandparents Fernando Ibarra, Denise Benz, and Woody and Jayne Woodyard. He is survived by uncles Ethan and Andrew Woodyard, Matthew Ibarra, and Jeremy Boyd, aunt Whitney Boyd and cousin Priscilla Boyd. He has so many other extended family members spread all over the country and in other countries that cared deeply for him.
Even though Oliver’s time on this earth was short, he was so full of joy and love. He was such a strong little man and braved more than one could possibly fathom. He was full of giggles and laughter and sweet, sweet smiles for everyone. It took a lot for him to cry actual tears, he could usually be comforted just by holding him, which I believe to be a side effect of being a long stay NICU baby. He loved cuddles and playtime. He enjoyed music, being read to, talked to, sung to. That kid could kick, and unless he was asleep was almost always moving. He will be missed tremendously and loved forever and we know that he is with God until we meet again
