Oscar Maddox

Mr. Oscar "Sonny" Maddox of Woodstock, passed away March 18, 2018 at his daughter's home. He was 87. The family will receive friends from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM Thursday March 22, 2018 at Pool Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 AM in the Poole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Linda Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery Oscar Malcolm Maddox was born April 9, 1930 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Oscar Malachi and Belva Dixon Maddox. Mr. Maddox was self-employed as a live bait dealer, and had served in The United States Navy. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Lou Maddox of Woodstock; daughter, Christy Good and husband David of Woodstock; three sons, Jerome Maddox and wife Yvonne of Cartersville, James Maddox and wife Pam of Fairhope Alabama, and John Maddox and wife Jil of Dalton; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
