Richard "Dick" James Lahr, known for his dedication to Peachtree and Doors for over 30 years in the field of I.T., passed away in Marietta. Born on January 26, 1943, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Dick led a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.

Those who had the pleasure crossing paths with Dick would describe him as exceptionally kind-hearted. His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, making him a beloved figure among his family, friends, and colleagues. He wasn't just an employee at Peachtree Windows & Doors; he was a provider who poured his love into every aspect of his life.

Beyond his career, Dick found joy in various hobbies like playing tennis and spending time at the shooting range. However, it was when he engaged in card games with his family that his spirit truly shone. Late nights spent playing cards with his mother showcased his loving and patient nature.

Dick's proudest accomplishments always revolved around his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he found immense satisfaction in helping others and fixing things whenever he could. His dedication to being a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was unwavering.

Dick is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Pat Lahr, as well as his children Carol Lahr Zunker (Rick) and Gary Lahr (Cindi). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Elisa, Courtney, Taryn Lahr, and great-grandchild Nova Lahr. In the memories he has left behind with them, Dick's loving and compassionate spirit will continue to live on.

Among those waiting to reunite with him are his parents Nicholas and Mary Lahr, along with siblings Beatrice, Carol, Marjorie, and Robert "Bob" Lahr. Their cherished moments together will forever hold a place of honor in their hearts.
