Robert "Cole" Putnam

July 12, 1991 — April 2, 2021

Robert Cole Putnam, who was mostly known by his middle name "Cole" passed from this world this past Friday morning. His mother described him as the most beautiful flower because of his beautiful spirit that he radiated to everyone around him. He was a friend and light to all humanity, and all of God' creatures and creations. Although he made not have realized it, because it came so naturally to him, his gift in life was his ability to soothe people' souls and make them happy through his clever, creative, and sometimes mischievous actions. He worked at Williamson Brothers BBQ as a server for the past two years, and floor manager on the weekends. He loved these wonderful co-workers, just as they loved him. He considered them to be his "work family". So many people have said that he was the" kindest person they ever knew". Cole had many wonderful personal characteristics and skills which went beyond his simply being a hard-working young man. He would go out of his way to help anyone, at any time, young or old, with whatever their needs may have been. He always saw the goodness in everyone. Cole loved carpenter work and power tools, and he was no stranger to a shovel. His skills in the arts were exceptional, especially with the guitar, poetry, and painting. He was fit and always ready for a new adventure; a swim, a climb, snow skiing, or a game of Frisbee Golf. He loved to ride motorcycles and cars that got good gas mileage. Robert Cole Putnam believed in the greatness of God and pursued his life in a manner that Jesus would be proud of"". always loving, never judgmental, helpful, and self-sacrificing. He was a beautiful soul. Cole was preceded in death by a brother, David Rogers in October 2018, an uncle Harold Rogers in May, 1993, and an aunt, Tammy Rogers in November 1997.Survivors include his parents Robert Alan and Cathie Rogers Putnam, Woodstock; sister, Melissa Jill Putnam Briner and Eric, Portland, OR; two grandmothers, Irene Rogers and Sandra Cerstvick; uncles, William and Linda Putnam, Timmy and Rita Rogers, Michael and Carol Putnam, and Joey and Darlene Rogers; great uncle, Jerry and Pat Putnam; aunt, Teresa and Ronnie Herendon; one niece, Sarah Upton and husband Chance; two nephews, Chad Rogers and Wyatt Rogers; cousins, Chelsea, Loran, Nicole, Mandy, Teresa, Tiffany, Holly, Jessica, Sarah, Tommy, Kyle, Dillion, Lee, and Timothy;Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Woodstock Church of Christ with Minister Matt Amos officiating.
