Robert Gene Wilson

Robert Gene Wilson, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Woodstock, GA on November 14, 2024, surrounded by the love of his wife Patricia and daughter Tina. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Robert was known for his kind heart, unwavering work ethic, and deep love for his family and his passions.

Born on November 20, 1941, Robert proudly served his country as an Army veteran before embarking on a career as an industrial mechanic, where his expertise and dedication earned him respect from colleagues and friends alike.

Robert had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. He was an avid gardener, finding peace and purpose among his plants, and he shared a special bond with his beloved pets.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Agnes Wilson, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Patricia Wilson; daughters Tina Wilson of Waller, Texas; Regina Wilson of Colchester, UK; and Karen Elaine Wilson, whose whereabouts are unknown; Teresa Callaway of Cumming, GA; and one grandson, Ashton James Wilson of Bournemouth, UK.

Robert’s legacy will live on through the values he instilled in his family, the memories he created with friends, and the love he poured into everything he touched.

A private memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 2pm in his honor at Toonigh Baptist Church at 4999 Holly Springs Parkway, Canton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Robert’s memory. A small reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.

Robert’s journey touched many lives, and his absence will be deeply felt. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of a garden that never fades.
