Ronald Durst

Mr. Ronald William Durst, Sr. of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. He was 90. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Father Larry Niese officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Poole Funeral Home. Mr. Durst was born December 29, 1926 in Alhambra, California to the late David and Ruth Edwards Durst. Mr. Durst served in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Lockheed Martin for over 30 years as an Aeronautical Engineer. Mr. Durst was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Dressman Durst, two brothers, Paul and Robert Durst. Survivors include three sons, Ronald W. Durst Jr., Smyrna, Georgia, Thomas Richard Durst (Linda), Gary Anthony Durst (Hyon-Mi), Greer, South Carolina; two daughters, Mary Jane Durst Trapani (Michael), Dunwoody, Georgia, Catherine Ann Durst, Woodstock, Georgia; one brother-in-law, William Dressman; nine grandchildren, Michael Trapani, Mary Elizabeth Trapani, Jennifer Trapani, Robyn Durst, Thomas Durst, Ryan D. Nichols, William Nichols, Andy Durst, and Janet Zuckerman; four great-grandchildren Reid Trapani, Jane Trapani, Levi Zuckerman and Andrew Durst; two nieces, Nancy and Judy Durst; one nephew, David Durst.
