Dvorak, Ronald Joseph “Ron", Navy Vietnam Veteran and Retired Eastman Kodak Employee, Dad, and Grandfather passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his home. He was born In Kinsley, Kansas on January 25, 1942, to Joe and Clella Dvorak. Ron was an electronics technician by trade but could repair just about anything. He was great at woodworking, drywall, flooring, and just about anything else that needed to be fixed or replaced. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and metal detecting with friends. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends just tinkering with stuff, or doing projects. He met with his family once a week at his favorite Mexican restaurant Poblano’s to enjoy a big Dos Equis and a meal. He loved making things with his 3D printer and giving the trinkets he made to family and friends. He was a great father and taught his 2 children how to drive, fix a car, build a doghouse, put down flooring, as well as every other thing he knew. After his kids were grown and moved away, Ron took early retirement from Eastman Kodak and eventually moved to Georgia where his children had settled. It was in Dallas Georgia that he decided he needed something to keep him busy, so he decided to buy a Hot dog cart. He named it Hot Doggity Dog and operated it for years at the Paulding County Courthouse. It was there that he met many of his close friends.
Ron is survived by his daughter Tammara Hallisy, his son Ronald Dvorak Jr., Cynthia Dvorak (the mother of his children), his grandchildren; Trenton, Jaclyn, Dylan, Juliana, and Sofia, as well as his niece Michelle Anderson, his nephew Michael Whitsitt, and both of their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Joseph “Joe” and Clella Dvorak and his sister Karen Whitsitt.
A Burial service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery with Jeff Jackson from Woodstock City Church speaking on his behalf and a military salute.
A Memorial service/Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at his son Ron’s house. Jeff Jackson from Woodstock City Church will be speaking at this as well.
