Roy Chumley

Mr. Roy Hilton Chumley Sr., husband of Tressia Ann Chumley, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at his home, at the age of 77. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 12:30 PM in Poole Funeral Home Chapel. With burial to follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 24,2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Poole Funeral Home. Roy was born July 12 1941 in Montgomery AL, to the late Roy Milton and Nellie Strength Chumley. Mr. Chumley had worked for many years as a police officer and firefighter. Most recently he had been a truck driver for Kennesaw Transportation. He loved driving a truck and the friendship of his fellow drivers. Roy enjoyed deer hunting, shooting, and was a longtime member of the NRA. He was a Mason and a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Villegas. In addition to his wife, Roy is survived by his daughters, Mary Ruth Kudlacik and Melissa Carver; son, Roy Hilton Chumley Jr.; brothers, (his twin) Ray Milton Chumley and wife Ann and Kenneth Chumley; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren In lieu of flowers the family request donation to The American Cancer Society P.O.
