Sandra Smith Allen

Mrs. Sandra Smith Allen Mrs. Sandra Smith Allen, age 83, died on Friday, May 8, 2020 while residing at the Hearthside Towne Lake Community. She was born in Gainesville, Georgia on March 29, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Rufus K. Smith Sr. and Mildred "Teen" Mealier Walker Smith and the sister of Rufus K. Smith Jr. (Nancy Jo Smith). She was the loving wife of the late Billy Wade Allen of Concord, North Carolina for 51 years. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. After graduating from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1955, she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri where she received her Associates Degree. She met her late-husband Billy while working at Western Electric. Her hobbies included spending time with her family and friends, travelling, reading, crafting, baking, and playing cards. Survivors include her daughters Tina-Maria Driggers (Gregg), Angela Grigg (Eric), and Dianna Hacker (Derek); her grandchildren Alexa Dollard (Ryan), Morgan Gardner (Brad) and Ty Grigg, and her great grandson Jackson Dollard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as, many great-nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Cherokee County Humane Society in Canton, Georgia.
