Sandy S. North

Mrs. Sandy S. North, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Tranquil Gardens after an extended illness. She was 79. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Heritage Presbyterian Church with Rev. Elizabeth Lovell Milford officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Friday, December 6, 2019 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel. The family will accept flowers or donation may be made to Alzheimer's Association at www.act.alz.org Mrs. North was born May 13, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Gregg Fleming and Santina Lucia Mangione Stevens. Mrs. North was a Graduate of Jackson Memorial School of Nursing. Sandy was a caregiver to many her patients, her family and her church family. Her gifts as a Registered Nurse were witnessed by those she cared for in the hospital, as a school nurse, as a care provider for medically fragile children, and as a Director of Nursing for a rehabilitation and nursing facility. Mrs. North was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Clark R. North in 2017. Survivors include her four daughters, Susan Esfandiari (Steve), Carol Walnut (Henry), Christie Halfon (Jay), and Sandra Lucas (Dan); eight sons, Thomas North, Patrick North (Marilea), Joe North (Holly), James North, Steven North, Scott North (Gina), Daniel North (Celine), and Michael North (Kori); three sisters, Patricia Feely (Bob), Susan Swadley (Charlie) and Josephine Kneuer (Don); one brother, Gregg Stevens, Jr. (Suzanne); 20 grandchildren, Heather Dutton, Christopher Esfandiari, Kailee North, Mackenzy North, Aaron North, Alyson North, Cody North, Angelina Feick, Charlotte Sumner, Grace Sumner, Marley North, Jake North, Lily North, Caroline Halfon, Katherine Halfon, Samuel North, Jaden North, Aubrey North, Noelle Mosley, and Lauren Mosley; three great grandchildren, Ava North, Makhi Esfandiari, and Molly Dutton; Online condolences may be made at www.poolefuneralhome.netVisitation DEC 6. 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (EST) Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services1970 Eagle DriveWoodstock, GA 30189Funeral Service DEC 7. 4:00 PM (EST) Heritage Presbyterian Church5323 Bells Ferry RoadAcworth, GA 30102
