Mr. Stephen Joseph Saulinskas, Jr. departed this life Friday October 8, 2021. Steve was born in Chicago. It was there that he met his wife of 47 years, Joanne. They raised three sons in Texas and Georgia. He was a devoted father often coaching the boys’ baseball teams, attending sports and band events and working alongside the boys with home projects and repairs as their own families grew.
Steve worked for Verizon as a business analyst for 30 years.
He enjoyed traveling, especially with family and friends, going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, and cooking and grilling for the many friends they welcomed into their home.
He gave back to the community by volunteering with Forever Fed mobile food pantry and Must Ministries homeless shelter.
Steve touched many lives and will be remembered as a kind, loving man who loved people. He will be missed by all who knew him. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Sr. and Bertha Saulinskas.
Survivors include his loving wife Joanne, children, Gregory (Stacy), Robert (Julie) and Christopher (Kristen). His brother, James (Trudy) Saulinskas , sisters, Ann dela Fuente, Mary (Maurice) Frenette, Jan (Ray) Biritz. In law’s, Diane (Richard) Opalacz, David (Colleen) Gromala, Janet (Michael) Nash, John (Aura) Gromala. Grandchildren, Gavin, Haley, Shane, Trent, Dylan, Brooke, Taylor, Kendall, Jackson and Mason.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Stephen Saulinskas will be Friday, October 15, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 4:00PM. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes during this difficult time.
