Travis Wayne Rader

Mr. Travis Wayne Rader, age 47, of Acworth, suffered a heart attack. When it was evident that he would not recover, his family made the gift of life to those in need. Travis was given a Hero’s Donor Walk and somewhere during the procedure he was taken off life support on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta.

Travis attended Pope High School and had worked the last 4 years with Strack Incorporated. He loved and was loved by his coworkers from Strack.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Lawrence Rader and his brother, Jason McCord Rader.

Survived by his mother, Monica Franks Rader; stepfather, Wally Vandett; brother Marc Rader and his wife, Jamilie Rader; nieces and nephews, Isabella and Kailey Rader, Brittany Rader-Wilson and Chris Rader; step sister, Daniela Vandett; step brothers, Kenny Olavarria and his wife Marilyn Olavarria and Darren Vandett and their respective families.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 14 at 4 PM in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home with Chaplin Courtney Dillard officiating.

The family will receive friends between the hour of 3 until 4 PM Saturday at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service.

Those who desire, in lieu of flowers, may make contributions to a organization that was close to Travis’s heart. A donation box will be available at the Memorial Service.
