Mr. Vasily "Wes" Azaroff, 75, of Woodstock, GA passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Wes was born in Niedersachswerfen, Germany on January 15, 1945, son of the late Maxim Azaroff and the late Maria Dmitirichenko Azaroff, and brother to the late Vladimir "Walt" Azaroff, Alexander Azaroff and Natasha Azaroff. The family immigrated to the United States via Ellis Island in 1950 before settling in Lincoln, Nebraska. Wes proudly served time in the US Army 4th Armored Division, 1st Battalion, 54th Infantry in Germany. He went on to work in the field of electronics before working his way up to VP of Operations for Anixter Brothers. Wes spent the rest of his career running his own business, Resource CSD, until he retired. He married the love of his life, Deborah Anne Shattuck Azaroff, on October 14, 1978. He loved cars, sailing, reading, working with his hands, and building things. Wes is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Azaroff, Woodstock, GA; son Kurt Azaroff, Jasper, GA; son Matthew Azaroff, Woodstock, GA; daughter Kristie Azaroff, Woodstock, GA; son Alex Azaroff, Ball Ground, GA; daughter Amanda Azaroff Martin, Rockmart, GA, 12 wonderful grandchildren and 7 amazing nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 3:00pm on Saturday, October 10 at Poole Funeral Home. Guests will be received starting at 2:30pm at the funeral home. Wes highly regarded the work that is being done by St. Jude's Children's Hospital and we know he would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations to that wonderful organization.
