Verlyn Lee Reynolds

Verlyn Lee Reynolds (husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa), 84, died April 9, 2024 peacefully at his home in Woodstock, GA. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he took his final breath rejoining his wife once again, Harriet Vivian Powell Reynolds. If you asked anyone who knew Verlyn they would all foretell of his generosity. Life dealt him a shorthand. By passerby’s, he was a poor simple man, but those who were fortunate to know, he was so rich and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need if asked.

A simple country boy by nature but like untamed horses in his cherished books, his love was fierce and knew no boundaries.

He is survived by his two children, Vivian Lynn Sanchez and Julian Lee Reynolds (Jackie), his brother, Robert "Bobby" Reynolds, five grandchildren, Margaret (Michael) Eaton, Shannon (Shawn) Tripodi, Jason Reynolds, Amanda (Austin) Trott, and Zac Sanchez; ad 3 great grandchildren, Liam, Hugh, and Lucas.
He is previously deceased by his wife, Harriet Vivian Powell Reynolds, his mother, Buna Mae Reynolds, 2 brothers, Charles and Billy Reynolds, and his grandchild, Christopher Reynolds.
 Upon his request his service will be simple…much like him. He asked to be laid close to his dearly departed wife Vivian “Bibi” Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to WellStar Hospice at Tranquility in Marietta. His dedicated care team through Tranquility of Lauren, Sarah, and BJ, provided him the utmost care, respect, dignity, and dedication as he traveled through this final stage in his life.  

His favorite author, Louis L’Amour said “When I die, remember that what you knew of me is with you always. What is buried is just a shell of what was… do not regret the shell, but remember the man, so let us not regret the shell but let’s remember the man.
