Virginia Marie Rinker

August 6, 1927 — January 9, 2020

Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Marie Rinker age 92 of Woodstock, Georgia departed this life Thursday January 9, 2020 at her residence. Ginny was born in Albany, Indiana to her parents, Harold and Ethel Powers. She married her husband Keith in 1946. Mrs. Rinker, along with her husband Keith, owned and operated Rinker's Jewelry Store in Indiana for approximately 36 years. After retiring, Keith and Ginny moved to Cartersville, Georgia in 1994 to be closer to family. After her husband Keith died in 2005, she relocated to Woodstock, Georgia. Ginny was still a loyal and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia and attended most Sundays. She was part of a group of ladies that folded the church programs every Friday for Grace Baptist Church for 10 years. Ginny also had a group of four close friends that played cards monthly and she enjoyed this fellowship with them. Ginny had several close friends from Grace Baptist Church. Ginny loved her family and friends touched many people. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Mrs. Rinker is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ethel Powers, her beloved husband John Keith Rinker, a son, Jay Keith Rinker, and siblings, Lucy, Marge, Deward, Vernon, Dwight and Jim. Survivors include son Rod Rinker, his wife, Paige Rinker, and grandchildren Chris Rinker and Jessica Rinker of Woodstock, Georgia. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday January 18, 2020 at Poole Funeral Home. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Rinker will be held immediately afterward in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home with Bill Cline, formerly from Grace Baptist Church, providing the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville, Georgia 790 Indian Mounds Road SE Cartersville, Georgia 30120
