William Benjamin Brashears

William B. (Ben) Brashears Born: August 29, 1940 Died: July 1, 2020 Ben was a graduate of Texas Tech University (Class of '67) with majors in both Chemistry and Mathematics. It was during this time that he met and married Janice Elaine Minor of Lubbock, Texas. Soon after graduating, he joined Dow Chemical and remained with them for almost 20 years. He then went to Stone Container Corp in Chicago, IL, but returned to the warmer climate of Georgia where he began his career with P&O Packaging. His most recent position was with Blaige & Co as an Sr. Executive Advisor. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys fan. He and Jan have lived the last almost 20 years in Canton, GA. Ben died of complications due to COVID-19. He is survived by his brother, Berrian Brashears, his wife, Jan Brashears, his daughters, Ann Brashears and Debra Cross (married to Jeff Cross), his grandchildren, LCPL Michael Cross (US Marine Corp) and Jessica Bachelier (married to Brett Bachelier), and his great-granddaughter, Caroline Bachelier.
