William Reese Tarleton, 85, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. William was born in Lansford, Pennnsylvania, only child of Florence Reese Tarlton, and Robert J. Tarlton ( Pioneer of Cable Television). William, after graduating from University of the Arts in Philadelphia ,Pennsylvania with a bachelor in Fine Art and Design in 1956, went onto starting his lifelong career in interior design. Beginning his career in Philadelphia and Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and then moving to Baltimore, Maryland in the 1960's, to work at Louis Mazor of Charles Street as their lead interior designer. William worked there creating ground breaking designed interiors for the Baltimore elite. After many years working there William opened his own interior design firm, Tarleton Interiors, in the 1980's continuing to create award winning interiors across the country. William semi- retired in Georgia in 2009. William Tarleton is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Katherine Marie Cover Tarleton, and His son Robert Brett Tarleton of Darien, Connecticut by his first first marriage to Beverly Elizabeth Washington Fuller Garnett ( Deceased), and 4 grandchildren.
