William Lee Thrasher Sr. – Nov 2, 2022

William (Bill) Lee Thrasher, Sr. of Kennesaw, GA, died November 2, 2022.

He was born in Atlanta, GA, on June 12, 1953, to William Avery Thrasher and Ruth Lee Thrasher. He was married to Suzan McClane Thrasher, his beloved, for 48 years.

They had two children and four grandchildren: his son, William Lee Thrasher, II (44) and is wife (Kristina) and his daughter, Anne Suzan Thrasher (42); grandsons, William Lee Thrasher, III (19) and Jakob Michael Sams (19), and granddaughters, Ainsleigh Ruth Thrasher (17) and Lola Anne Sams (17). He is also survived by his brother, Jon Louis Thrasher (67).

Bill was a legendary Audio Engineer and an icon in the community of Church Sound and Media Technology. In his 50+ year career, he worked for Truth, The Re’Generation, The Gaithers, Mobile Sound, Walt Disney World, First Baptist Church of Orlando, and then began Thrasher Design Group. There, with his own business, he served as the Principal Audio Designer and Engineer for Billy Graham and countless churches and organizations around the world.

He loved fishing, music, and taking an unconventional approach to Life. But most of all, he loved Jesus, his family, his friends, and his work.

A celebration service will be held at 2pm on November 6, 2022, at Poole Funeral Home, 1970 Eagle Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189. The family will receive guests at 12:30pm.
