Woodrow Wilson Daves, age 98 of Morganton, passed away January 19, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Daves was born August 6, 1921 in Morganton, GA to the late George and Nettie Picklesimer Daves. Mr. Daves served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Wilscot Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Collins Daves, brothers Stanley Daves, Nelson Daves and W.A. Daves. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James Ricky and Sonya Daves and son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Sharon Daves; five grandchildren, Weston Daves, Chase Daves, Candace Daves, Logan Daves and Luke Daves; six great-grandchildren, Presley Daves, Copen Daves, Everett Daves, Inman Daves , Laiken Daves and Andrea Reeves. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Wilscot Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Davenport officiating.
